Mixtape.

An App Proposal · One-Page Brief

August 2026 · MX-APP-2026-01

Zen2 — the studio behind Perkhaus (Miami); its principal founded Taxfyle, Robinhood’s in-app tax partner and Apple’s App of the Day.

The same song. The same room.

Mixtape matches Miami through music taste — romance, concert crews, and musician collabs in three separate pools — and anchors every match to a real show. Designed from Alan Rodriguez’s own working prototype; built and shipped by Zen2.

The Gap

Dating-app spending posted its first annual decline in 2025 while 78% of users report burnout — yet 65% of 18-to-29s have tried one. The churned majority still wants to meet; it stopped believing the swipe. Nobody owns matching around the show you’re both already going to.

The Moment

The U.S. Surgeon General calls loneliness an epidemic: half of adults report it, and in-person time with friends has fallen roughly seventy percent for people under 25 since 2003. The need never left. It is standing in a crowd, waiting for the drop. Live Nation set an all-time record with 159M fans in 2025; Miami-Dade leads the nation in international migration — a city of arrivals without a crew, in the Latin music industry’s capital.
